Teen therapy
Therapy for your teen
For teens from 12 to 18 whose families are in treatment with us or about to start.
Your teen gets a place of their own to talk, with a clinician who also knows the family plan. What is said in the room is private, with limits the clinician explains on the first call.

What it is like, in five points
What sessions look like
Fifty minutes, one to one. Your teen decides what to talk about: food, body image, school, friends, the rules in their head.
The method
We draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to work with the thoughts and rules around food and body, and on DBT skills for strong feelings.
What this is not
It does not replace family work when your teen needs their parents at the table, and it is not medical care.
Length and frequency
Your clinician sets the pace with you and your teen. We do not promise a number of sessions.
Insurance, a receipt for reimbursement or paying yourself, with a written estimate first.
Three questions about this service
Will you tell me everything my teen says?
No. Your teen's sessions are private, with limits the clinician explains on the first call. You stay informed about the plan and about safety.
My teen does not want to come. What now?
That is common. Many teens start by meeting the clinician with a parent in the room, and begin one-to-one sessions when they are ready.
Can my teen start without a parent?
A parent or guardian takes part in the first call, and your clinician explains the state's rules on consent for a teen.
Would your teen like to meet a clinician?
Write to us, and we will find a first session that suits your family.
